While Michigan fans might be happy that Brady Hoke has been canned as head coach, they might be frowning when they peek out west on Tuesday.

On Tuesday the Michigan Wolverines made the move that we all saw coming as they fired Brady Hoke. Hoke was brought into the program in 2011 after Rich Rodriguez had apparently been a failure.
Well, what happened in college football as a whole on Tuesday is just a tad bit awkward.
While Hoke was in a meeting being told that his services were no longer needed in Ann Arbor, Rodriguez was being honored as the best coach in the Pac-12 conference for 2014 after leading the Arizona Wildcats to the Pac-12 South title and an appearance in the title game against Oregon this Friday night.
So, yes, on the same that that Hoke was fired for being a lousy coach for Michigan, the last person that they told was lousy was being recognized as one of the best coaches in the nation.
It really is absolutely strange sometimes how things work out in college football.
But, if this is any indication, then Hoke might be just fine now that he’s away from Ann Arbor.
