UAB fans might want to look away at this next picture, especially if you’re a football fan that’s not happy with the news from Tuesday.

On Tuesday it was made official that the UAB Blazers will no longer be playing football. The players and fans were given the news that, due to budget cuts, the football program will be getting cut.
Well, if you’re a supporter of the Blazers football program, then you might not want to l0ok at this next picture.
Right here in the photo below is a UAB grounds crew member wiping away the logo from the end zone, really making everything official.
That’s really heart wrenching to watch and you really do have to feel for the school, the fans, and of course, the current and future players. There really was no reason to wipe out the program like this, despite whatever excuse that they gave on Tuesday.
UAB actually finished this season with six wins, which makes them eligible for a bowl game, although that might not really matter that much to some.
Again, very sad, sad situation going on in Birmingham.
