Will Smith and Jared Leto are among the many high-profile names set to start in Suicide Squad.
It’s official: Will Smith and Jared Leto will star in anticipated film Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. announced Tuesday. Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne are also featured members of the high-profile cast.

These announcements will surely have superhero movie fans excited. Smith, Leto and Co. are among the most talented actors in the business today.
Variety has information on the film’s plot:
"Based on the DC comicbook, the story centers on the team of supervillains who are given a chance at redemption by the government. The catch: Their mission will probably kill them all."
Leto will play The Joker, Smith will play Deadshot, Hardy will play Rick Flagg, Robbie will play Harley Quinn, Courtney will play Boomerang and Delevingne will play Enchantress.
There could be another famous name added to the cast shorty. Jesse Eisenberg has been rumored to have a role in the film playing Lex Luther, but Warner Bros. did not announce his involvement Tuesday.
David Ayer, who has directorial credits include End of Watch and Fury, is set to direct the picture.
"“The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one,” Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under David Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”"
The film has an Aug. 5, 2016 release date.
