Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians reiterated his support for current starting QB Drew Stanton despite the team losing its last two games.

The Arizona Cardinals are quickly losing their footing atop the NFC West, but head coach Bruce Arians isn’t backing down from his assertion that Drew Stanton is the man to lead them back to victory. He recently noted as much on Sirius XM NFL Radio.

You can’t blame people for wondering though after Stanton managed just one passing touchdown against three interceptions in the last two game while the Cardinals managed just 21 points in consecutive losses to the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons. However, Arians has little choice in the matter.

Behind Stanton sits Logan Thomas and Ryan Lindley on the QB depth chart. Don’t feel bad if those names don’t ring a bell. They shouldn’t, but now you know why the Cardinals are such big fans of Drew Stanton. They have little other choice.

Arizona will have a chance to bounce back when they host the Kansas City Chiefs one week before starting a three-game slate in which they’ll finish the season against the rest of their division.
