If you happen to be a Florida fan that still has some hopes left of landing Chip Kelly, well, you probably won’t want to hear this.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has his name at the top of the rumor list to take over the Florida Gators, however if you happen to want to see this occur, don’t hold your breath.
With rumors swirling the last few days that Florida will make a phone call, at least, to Kelly, the Eagles coach addressed the talk on Wednesday.
Not only has Florida not picked up that phone yet to have a chat, even if they did, they’d probably get hung up on pretty quickly.
HC Chip Kelly: Florida hasn't contacted me. And if they did, I wouldn't listen. It's false. I think false things are silly.

While there are some that hold out hope of Kelly returning to the college game soon, most push the notion to the side because of how well Kelly has done in the NFL his first two seasons. He has no reason to bolt back to college, even for a lucrative program like Florida that has a lot to offer.
The good news for Kelly is that he probably won’t even have to waste his energy hanging up on AD Jeremy Foley, because it appears as if the Gators have found their man in Colorado State coach Jim McElwain.
