The Florida State Seminoles fell to No. 4 in the College Football Playoffs, but they remain No. 1 in the hearts of Twitter users — presumably mostly trolls.

When the College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday night, many fans were shocked to see the Florida State Seminoles drop to the No. 4 seed despite their 12-0 record.

Some fans were happy to see this — not because they needed to update their Jameis Winston crab legs joke rolodex — rather, it showed that just because you have an undefeated record doesn’t mean you’re an automatic No. 1 seed.

That has rubbed a lot of Noles fans the wrong way, but if anything the drop to No. 4 has proven to the world that people simply cannot stop talking about Florida State on social media.

Florida State falling in the playoff poll is something that opens them up to endless trolling — even more so than we’ve seen in the past. It’s pretty easy to troll the Noles with all the Jameis Winston business that has gone on this season, but slipping in the polls is comical to Florida State haters.

Of course, this can all change if the Noles win the ACC and move up in the polls, but while they may be No. 4 in the country, they’re still No. 1 in the hearts of Twitter users.
