The student code conduct hearing for Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is over, with a decision expected within two to three weeks.

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston did not testify at a hearing into whether or not he violated the university’s student conduct code when he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at an off-campus apartment in December 2012.

Prosecutors chose not to file charges in the alleged incident in November 2013, but the accuser chose another avenue by which to attempt to prove the attack actually occurred.

Florida State Supreme Court Chief Justice Major Harding concluded the hearing by giving the attorneys for each side five days to file briefs, according to ESPN.com.

John Clune, the attorney for the accuser, told reporters he expects a decision from Harding within two to three weeks.

Winston and the woman spent more than seven hours in the hearing on Wednesday, the second day of the proceedings.

If he is found to have violated the student conduct code, Winston could face an array of punishments that could range from a written or verbal reprimand to a suspension or expulsion from the university.

Winston was not required to answer any questions at the hearing, according to the university’s policies and procedures.

Winston didn’t talk to Tallahassee Police Department detectives in 2012 and 2013 when they were investigating the case and did not speak to investigators from the state attorney’s office when they were considering the case late last year.

Florida State (12-0) plays Georgia Tech Saturday in the ACC championship. The defending national champions are ranked fourth in the most recent College Football Playoff committee rankings, despite being the only unbeaten team in the country.
