By Cory Buck
Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs understands his time with the team is coming to an end and remains thankful for everything.
With Lance Briggs on the IR, not only is his season over, but it’s likely that his time as a Chicago Bears is over now as well. While many might be bitter at the unfortunate turn of events, Briggs maintained perspective and gratitude for his time spent in Chicago.

“I prepared myself for the days that are coming,” Briggs said per CSN Chicago. “There’s no bitterness. When I think of the whole situation, I think of all the great years and I’m thankful for everything Chicago has meant to me. Playing for Chicago has been a dream and I got a chance to live my dream here.”
While Briggs may not receive a new contract offer from the Bears, it seems he could have a broadcasting career waiting for him after his NFL career is over. The Lance Briggs Show is full go thanks to this unexpected time off, and given Briggs’ popularity as one of the players to bring the Bears to their last Super Bowl, it’s safe to say he could find a long-term gig as an analyst after he decides on his playing future.
