There is no guarantee that Trevor Knight will be able to return in a few weeks, but Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops is hopeful he can return for the bowl game.
Trevor Knight will be in sweats for the Oklahoma Sooners’ regular season finale against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

However, there is still a chance we can see the quarterback back in uniform before the Sooners head into the offseason.
When speaking to the media about Trevor Knight’s neck injury — which forced him to miss the past two games — head coach Bob Stoops remained hopeful that Oklahoma could enter their bowl game with their starting quarterback back in the huddle.
“We’re hopeful — I don’t want anyone’s hopes up, but — it’s looking positive that he may be cleared to play for the bowl game,” Stoops said Wednesday, according to The Oklahoman. “Now it hasn’t happened, but again, things were a lot more positive this week in all the evaluations, so that’s good.”
Without Trevor Knight in the lineup, Cody Thomas has been under center for the Sooners.
Oklahoma is already bowl-eligible, so they do not need a win to extend their season. Whether Trevor Knight will be available for that bowl game, however, will all come down to how healthy his neck will be.
