Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz says he hasn’t spoken with New York Yankees third basemen in nearly a year.

It seems very few are pleased with New York Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez these days. The slugger has been caught and lied about his usage of steroids multiple times and is a pretty unlikable character.

Among those that aren’t happy with A-Rod: Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz.

Big Papi revealed on Thursday to the New York Post that he’s “angry” with A-Rod and hasn’t spoken to the Yankee in nearly a year.

"Ortiz said Thursday he was deeply upset when Rodriguez’s lawyer went on ESPN radio in January and said of past PED use in baseball: “I’m not going to start naming all the other players, but some of them are God-like in Boston right now, and people seem to forget that.”The lawyer, Joe Tacopina, later said he was not talking about Ortiz, but the damage was done.“I was angry,” Ortiz said Thursday of the lawyer’s comment.I asked Ortiz if he and Rodriguez are OK with each other now nearly 11 months later, and Big Papi, a man who wears his heart on his sleeve, answered: “I haven’t talked to him since.”"

It’s certainly understandable why Ortiz is upset. It’s clear, despite their denials, that Rodriguez’s camp was referring to Ortiz’s alleged steroid use on ESPN radio. Ortiz has been adamant that he’s never used steroids, so he surely doesn’t appreciate Rodriguez and his camp unnecessarily bringing him up on a national radio station.

Rodriguez owes Ortiz an apologetic phone call.
