Joel Embiid has yet to play a single minute of NBA basketball, but he’s already a legend on Twitter and has solidified his legacy on social media. 

It hasn’t even been a half year since Joel Embiid was drafted into the NBA but already the man is a living legend. He was a quiet star at Kansas, where people saw him as reserved and shy. Then he broke free from the strict NCAA rules and blossomed into the social media butterfly he is today.

Whether he knows it or not, whether it’s intentional or by accident, Joel EMbiid is a master troll and he’s always going to be someone you can’t help but love on Twitter. From his running joke of crushing on Rihanna and obsessing over her, to trying to pick up Kim Kardashian in an ‘accidental’ DM that was publicly published, Embiid is a god troll wading among mere mortals.

Take his latest stint as further proof that his trolling game is as sharp and on point as ever. To celebrate the 76ers first win of the season, Embiid blessed the world with Rihanna photoshops that showed him celebrating the win with her.

And then there’s this gem that trolls the 76ers for sucking so bad in a very meta way.

Simply put, Embiid wins Twitter whenever he posts anything, as he’s become some sort of weird Stanley Kubrick if owning social media with everything he does. You may not understand it right away, but you know you’re seeing something special each time.
