One Nebraska fan wrote a four-stanza poem saying goodbye to fired coach Bo Pelini in a local paper.
Nebraska fired coach Bo Pelini on Sunday and it was immediately clear that his former players did not agree with the decision, as they took to Twitter to vent about the move.

But it’s not just the players that need an outlet to express their thoughts on Pelini and his tenure with the Cornhuskers.
A Nebraska fan penned a poem about Pelini in the Bellevue Leader on Wednesday. It is, shall we say, interesting.
The poem reads:
"“Goodbye Bo Pelini. We’ll miss your sour puss. You never won a championshipbut it’s not you – it’s us.You’re probably mad you’re fired, mad at Harvey and the rest.Your players loved you, this is truebut they don’t cut the checks.Nine wins a year! That is a lot.A testament to strong thinking–but that rushing record that Melvin setdrove all of us to drinking. Some day in some dull grocery storewe’ll meet again, trade glances. We’ll wonder what it’d been like ifyou’d have six or seven more chances.”"

It is outstanding that an ode, one that also kind of pokes fun about Pelini’s woes at Nebraska, actually made it in a newspaper. Kudos to the fan that did this. It’s very well done.
Pelini coached at Nebraska for seven years, going 67-27 during his time with the team. The Cornhuskers rebounded quickly after letting Pelini go, hiring Mike Riley on Thursday.
