Odell Beckham Jr. Wants To Play DB Against Zach Mettenberger

Odell Beckham Jr. wants a shot at his former college quarterback, Zach Mettenberger
Odell Beckham Jr. has proven plenty during his first season at the NFL level. He’s racked up 48 catches for 699 years and five touchdowns, while also coming down with perhaps the greatest catch in NFL history. It’s clear he’s going to have a successful career at the wide receiver position.

However, it appears Beckham now wants to prove something else: that he can play defensive back and stop his college quarterback at LSU, Zach Mettenberger, when his New York Giants play Mettenberger’s Tennessee Titans Sunday. .
From ESPN:
"“I would love to,” Beckham said with a smile after Giants practice Thursday. “I would probably get a flag, because I would taunt him if I got a pick-six. Hopefully one of my teammates can do it for me.”"
It would absolutely be awesome if Beckham were to line up for a few snaps at defensive back on Sunday. Unfortunately, there’s little chance Tom Coughlin would actually allow him to do so.
Still, that doesn’t mean Beckham, an athletic freak, couldn’t do damage on the defensive side of the ball.
Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell commented on the matter.
"“No question. That’s no joke,” Fewell said of whether Beckham could play defensive back. “I tried to recruit him back in camp when he was out with the hamstring injury. I think he could be an excellent cornerback.”"
At this point, there’s little reason to doubt anything related to Beckham’s capabilities. The guy is a flat-out beast on the football field.
