Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow of course had nothing negative to say about his former school’s new hire, Jim McElwain out of Colorado State.

The Florida Gators hired Jim McElwain on Thursday, who went 22-16 in three years at Colorado State, including a 10-2 season this past year. He was also named the MWC Coach of the Year, as well.
Naturally, a lot of Florida fans, beat writers, alumni and former players are speaking out about McElwain. Of course that means that one of the most famous Gators, Tim Tebow, had to chime in.
Tebow visited with ESPN’s Paul Finebaum Thursday afternoon to give his insight on the hiring. Tebow had this to say about the coach, who was once the Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator during 2009 when the Tide helped begin Florida’s decline:
"“He is someone that has a great track record. He’s been in big time games, he’s been in big time situations and he’s been at a school where there is a lot of pressure and at Florida you need to know how to handle big games and a lot of pressure.”"
I guess it seems like Tebow does not have any hard feelings from that infamous SEC Championship Game, as he welcomed him to Florida on Twitter as well.
Tebow also says he thinks the team has some good talent on the defensive side of the ball, if his analysis means anything to you.
