The UCF Knights were literally seconds away from not repeating as AAC Champions. Sure, this year is just a share, but it still counts as a conference championship. They were down 30-26 with no time left on the clock. That’s it, repeat chances dead.
Well, not really.
In case you haven’t guessed it by now, yes, UCF ended up finishing their regular season with a big win on the road with a Hail Mary pass.
With the clock running out, Justin Holman dropped back and launched this 51 yard touchdown pass to Breshad Perriman, who made a terrific play on the ball to get the win.
What a way to finish out the season for UCF who, again, has repeated as AAC Champions. They clinch a share of the title on this night.
But what a rough way to go out for ECU, who had themselves an outstanding season. It looked this year at times as if they would make a serious push to be talked about with the big contenders when all was said and done.
Instead, they finish out the year on their home field wondering what the hell just happened.
