2 Chicago Bears Fans Stabbed By Cowboys Fans Outside Soldier Field

Following Thursday Night Football, two Chicago Bears fans were stabbed by Dallas Cowboys fan after an alcohol-fueled fight in the parking lot. 


The Dallas Cowboys, led by yet another strong rushing performance by running back DeMarco Murray, were able to defeat the Chicago Bears on Thursday night to kick off Week 14 of the NFL regular season.

After the game, police say a fight broke out outside of Soldier Field between two groups of fans that had been drinking and the result was stab wounds to two men.

It all started with Cowboys fans yelling “Bears suck” at a group of Chicago fans, before the Bears fans returned fire with their own “Cowboys suck” chant. Then, beer was thrown and the fight began.

From the Chicago Tribune:

"A 22-year-old man was stabbed in the back nine times with an unknown object and the other Bears fan, 21, suffered a puncture wound near his upper right shoulder, police said.Both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, when the 22-year-old man’s condition was stabilized and the 21-year-old was in fair condition, police said."

The Cowboys fans were able to get away before police became involved.

According to the report, the fans fled in a Mitsubishi Mirage or Mazda Protégé that appeared to be red or maroon.
