ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter has been ruled out for the season … at least according to a graphic on SportsCenter that Schefter didn’t miss pointing out.
What’s the fun of having co-workers if you can’t troll them a little?
SportsCenter was reporting on the injury status of Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who was injured and hospitalized during Thursday night’s 41-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at Soldier Field.
According to reports, Marshall broke two ribs and injured a lung.
But a graphic accompanying the report also read:
"“Adam Schefter: Out for season”"
Schefter got a screen grab and tweeted the news to his followers:

There is no word as to the extent of Schefter’s injury or what it actually is. SportsCenter did not include Schefter on today’s updated injury report.

But if one were to speculate, it could be a repetitive-motion injury to his fingers from all the tweeting and texting he does in the line of duty. And, for the sake of clarity, there was absolutely nothing truthful to the preceding two paragraphs. In all seriousness, Schefter did report via Facebook that Marshall will miss the remainder of the season for the Bears. <

Perhaps the worst part of it all for Schefter … he got scooped about his own status.
