The Michigan Wolverines will aim high to fill their coaching vacancy, so could Bill Belichick be a legitimate option?
ESPN radio personality Colin Cowherd either dropped a bomb on social media or is openly trolling the Michigan Wolverines fan base ahead of the holiday season.
After teasing the fact that he has heard some big names as potential Michigan head coaching candidates from his buddies in the agent world on Thursday’s edition of The Herd, Colin took to Twitter to continue his thought.
While Colin Cowherd stopped short of dropping a name, he did drop an idea of who the big name candidate could be and there is no mistaking who Cowherd was referring to.
Michigan fans, the names I hear are encouraging. I am not teasing you. Although his names rhymes w Till Zellicheck.

This is either a huge scoop or one of the most ridiculous rumors in recent memory.
We are going with the latter.
Belichick currently has a cozy job in the NFL and the New England Patriots are once again one of the best teams in the league. Leaving the Patriots for the wild coaching landscape where things can change in a matter of years would be a poor business and career decision for Belichick.
He is smart enough to realize that and Michigan is smart enough to likely never approach the Patriots head coach.
So, nice try, Colin.
We aren’t buying.
You would have to think Michigan fans are smart enough to do the same and won’t get their hopes up. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be nice to dream about Belichick gracing the Wolverines sideline and potentially one day bringing former Michigan man Tom Brady onto his coaching staff.
