NFL: 5 Potential Landing Spots For Robert Griffin III
By Evan Massey
Which five teams could be potential landing spots for Robert Griffin III if the Washington Redskins choose to trade him?
There has been quite a bit of drama coming out of the Washington Redskins’ organization involving quarterback Robert Griffin III this season, and it’s sounding more and more likely that he could end up getting traded this offseason. If that does end up being the case, there will be plenty of teams that have interest in acquiring him at the right price.
He may not be proving that he has the franchise quarterback potential that the Redskins saw in him when they drafted him, but there are teams out there that would try to acquire him and turn his career back around. Injuries have been a key part of the disappointment for Griffin, and it has forced him to change his game. There are plenty of ways that he could improve, and perhaps a change of scenery and systems would be ideal for him.
That being said, it is unclear what type of return the Redskins would be asking for in a Griffin trade. They probably couldn’t get anything more than a third-round pick, but they might overvalue Griffin despite all of the drama that has surrounded him.
Which five teams could be potential landing spots for him if the Redskins do indeed put him on the open market?
