Now that the UAB football program has folded, players from the team are able to transfer without restriction. That is good news for running back Jordan Howard.
When UAB shut down their football program, everyone was wondering what the future would hold for the players who were left behind.

While everyone will need to figure that out on an individual basis, it will be easier for some — especially running back Jordan Howard.
According to reports, Howard, who finished last season with 1,587 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, is receiving plenty of interests from schools across the nation.
“I always felt like I had the talent to play at any level,” Howard said, via al.com. “I guess they’re starting to realize that now.”
Howard’s only college football scholarship was from the Blazers, but now that the program has been shut down he is being forced to look elsewhere. That could turn out to be a blessing for the running back.
The junior reportedly has interest from all of the Conference-USA schools, along with the likes of Wisconsin, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Louisville and Boise State.
When can we expect a decision?
An exact date remains to be seen, but Howard is hoping he will make his choice by the end of the year.
