Everything you need to settle in for the Atlantic Coast Conference championship in Charlotte between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Florida State Seminoles.

The Florida State Seminoles are in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game for the third straight year and the fifth time since the ACC began holding it in 2005.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are in the ACC final for the fourth time.

The Seminoles (12-0) have much more on the line, however. Florida State is ranked fourth in the most recent College Football Playoff committee rankings and heads into Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., not just seeking their third straight conference championship, but their last chance to defend their national championship.

The Seminoles won the final championship of the Bowl Championship Era in January when they beat Auburn 34-31 on a 2-yard touchdown pass from Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston to Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds remaining.

They would love nothing more than to get a shot at the first national championship in the new CFP era, but their margin for error is slim. A loss or even another unimpressive win could slide even a 13-0 Florida State team out of the mix for one of the four playoff spots.

Georgia Tech (10-2), meanwhile, has nothing to lose. The scenarios necessary for the 11th-ranked Yellow Jackets to get into the final four spots are unlikely at best.

Tech last won the ACC title game in 2009—a win it was later forced to vacate due to NCAA violations—and lost to Florida State two years ago, 21-15, in their most recent visit to the title game.
