The Crimson Tide made it look easy on their opening drive in the SEC Championship Game as they drove 68 yards in 10 plays that took 3:36 off the clock that culminated with running back T.J. Yeldon plunging in for a one-yard touchdown to put Alabama up 7-0.
Quarterback Blake Sims was a perfect 5-of-5 passing for 39 yards, including three passes to Amari Cooper who looks to clinch a trip to the Heisman ceremony next weekend and two carries for 12 yards from Yeldon, including the score.

Alabama was a heavy favorite in this game against the two-time defending champions from the East and this opening drive lends credence to the fact that the oddsmakers weren’t too overzealous by setting a 14.5 point spread for this clash.
Missouri went three and out on their opening possession, so this one could get out of hand fast if the Tigers can’t get their offense rolling with Maty Mauk at quarterback and the combination of Shane Ray and Markus Goldon can’t disrupt Sims in the pocket.
