Jim McElwain was introduced on Saturday as the new head coach of the Florida Gators, officially.

There is a lot of college football action going on Saturday with the conference championship games, and while the Florida Gators will not be playing in one of those, they still made some headlines with introductory press conference for new head coach Jim McElwain.

Florida hired McElwain this past week from Colorado State after the two sides finally came to an agreement on his buyout clause.

Now, the Gators are headed in a new direction, a direction that Florida fans hope is back to the top of the SEC.

Known as someone who is a bit of a genius on the offensive side of the ball, he certainly had an interesting way to explain how he will approach things from that side of the ball.

And in news that will make Florida fans very happy, McElwain has already met with the staff and started the full evaluation process of the program.

There is no doubt that McElwain has his work cut out for him with a program that has struggled as of late, but there are a lot of people that believe he is the man to get the job done.
