The demise of the Missouri Tigers in the SEC Championship Game may have been greatly exaggerated after Maty Mauk connected with Jimmie Hunt on this ridiculous 63-yard reception to set up a Missouri touchdown

Missouri got dominated on both sides of the ball in the first half of the SEC Championship Game against Alabama and even lost their best player after defensive end Shane Ray was ejected for a targeting penalty on Crimson Tide quarterback Shane Ray.

However, the Tigers got some much-needed momentum on their side after Maty Mauk eluded the Alabama pass rush and rolled to his left and delivered a beautiful throw to receiver Jimmie Hunt along the left sideline for a 63-yard gain.

Hunt was’t called for pushing off on the Alabama defensive back Geno Smith and the catch set up a touchdown for Missouri who converted a fourth down from the one after Mauk hit Bud Sasser for the touchdown to cut the deficit to 11 with Alabama leading 21-10 with 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Can this catch be the momentum that Missouri needs to get back in the game or will the loss of Ray and the presence of No. 1 Alabam be too much to overcome in the second half?
