3. Lance Alworth, San Diego Chargers: 173 Points

Even though the majority of Alworth’s career was played in the AFL, we are recognizing his unreal accomplishments in this list. He led the Chargers to one AFL Championship and he won a Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys late in his career, too. He’s one of the most dominant players in pro football history and is one of the Chargers’ greatest icons. As far as points per year he comes in slightly higher than the player ranked at No. 2 on this list.

Interestingly enough, he led his league in receiving touchdowns, receiving yards and receptions three times each. Six times he was named First Team All-Pro in his career and seven times he was named to a Pro Bowl squad. If there is a mythical pro football heaven somewhere where the all-time greats continue to play you can bet that Alworth will be a starting wide receiver on one of the teams someday.
