Last week the Ohio State community was shocked when the body of walk-on football player Kosta Karageorge was found on campus. Karageorge died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and the entire Buckeyes community was shook.
On Saturday when the football team takes the field against Wisconsin in Indianapolis in the Big Ten Championship Game, Karageorge’s memory will be honored by defensive tackle Michael Bennett, who will be donning Karageorge’s No. 53 when the team takes the field.
Per reports, Ohio State defensive lineman Michael Bennett will wear No. 53 tonight in honor of Kosta Karageorge.

This is a tremendous gesture by his former teammate and no doubt some tears will be shed inside Lucas Oil Field when Bennett takes the field with the number on.
Karageorge had disappeared about a week before his body was found, telling his girlfriend that he was going for a walk and never returning. His body was found near his apartment on the Columbus campus, to the shock of many.
His mother had told people that he had battled concussions for quite some time and it was reported this past week that his brain will indeed be examined to look at any possible relation concussions could have had with the unfortunate events that took place.
