Despite reports lately that everything in the Jets locker room is imploding, Rex Ryan is insisting that everything is just fine.
It seems like not a week can go by unless someone is saying something negative about the New York Jets, and the most recent reports have detailed a toxic environment within the Jets locker room.
Well, as you would expect, Rex Ryan thinks that this is just pure garbage.
“I give no credibility to that story,” Ryan said via NFL.com. “I thought there were some other things in that story, the same one, that I thought were hilarious. The one about, I’ve already told you guys how I thought about how I was trying to stick it to John (Idzik), about that’s why we never threw the ball.
“And then as it turns out, Marty was trying to stick it to me. This is like, ‘What?’ They’re going all over the place, and none of them make sense. We’re trying to win a game. And that’s as simple as it is.”
That was the most telling aspect of the most recent report and that was the fact that Ryan and Marty Mornhinweg were at odds with one another, which Ryan is now shooting down.
All of this, though, is basically just something to talk about, because in a few more weeks, Ryan and probably the rest of his coaching staff won’t be there anymore.
