Jarvis Jones is back for the Steelers who get some fresh legs for the playoff push in the final quarter of the regular season and needing their first round pick from last year to make a significant impact in the season’s final month.
Jones missed the last nine games with a fractures wrist and was placed on the injured reserve list with a designation to return. Jones is expected to platoon with Arthur Moats opposite Jason Worilds with James Harrison’s knee possibly holding him out of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Steelers announced they activated LB Jarvis Jones and placed CB Cortez Allen on IR.

To make room for Jones the team placed Cortez Allen on the injured reserve to put an end to a disappointing season after he signed a big extension in the offseason.
Jones isn’t the only linebacker making his return to the lineup as 2014 first round pick Ryan Shazier is expected to play after missing the last three games with a wrist injury.
The Steelers are one of three teams in the AFC North with a 7-5 record and will two of their best linebackers on the field to contain the offense of the first-place Bengals who own a 8-3-1 record. The playoff picture is awfully crowded with five other teams owning the same 7-5 record as the Steelers, so if they’re going to make the playoffs they should have the goal in mind that they need to go 4-0 down the stretch.
Do you think the return of Jones and Shazier will get them there?
