The TCU Horned Frogs had a scoring outburst in the second half to blowout the Iowa State Cyclones to clinch at least a share of the Big 12 championship, but not necessarily a spot in the College Football Playoff

TCU beat Iowa by the score of 55-3 to clinch at least a share of the Big 12 and they even added a few style points as well in the hopes of impressing the Playoff committee that ranked the Horned Frogs No. 3 in the penultimate rankings but there’s no guarantee they’ll be ranked this high tomorrow afternoon when the final rankings are released.
The Baylor Bears and Kansas State Wildcats play later tonight and if Baylor beats Kansas State they will have the same record as TCU and won the head to head matchup earlier this season so it stands to reason that Baylor could be ranked ahead of the Horned Frogs when the final rankings are released tomorrow at 11:30 p.m. CT.
That’s why the celebration was rather odd and mild from TCU after the game and the players weren’t sure whether they should celebrate a conference championship and a berth in the playoff or hold their breath until the conclusion of the Baylor-Kansas State game or until tomorrow.
Odd feel to that celebration with no clear answer about whether TCU is in the playoff. My guess would be yes. But .... (Shrug)

It would be pretty remarkable to see a team win 55-3 and drop out of the top four but I understand their trepidation not wanting to celebrate until they future is secured.
Do you think TCU should be ranked ahead of Baylor if the Bears win tonight?
