Cam Newton Fights Back After Shove In Back (Video)
By Phil Watson
The Carolina Panthers have ambushed the New Orleans Saints in the early going Sunday and the Saints are getting a little frustrated. Cam Newton is having none of it.
The Carolina Panthers are out to an early 17-0 lead in the first quarter over the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Saints are giving in to some chippiness.
After Cam Newton scored a 2-yard touchdown run, Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton gave him a shove in the back.
Newton didn’t turn away. Instead, he turned around and began to jaw at Lofton, which led to a full-fledged fracas.
New Orleans (5-7) is tied with the Atlanta Falcons for the lead in the NFC South, while the Panthers (3-8-1) can’t have a winning season, but are still very much in the division race with four weeks to go.

The Saints already have a win over the Panthers this season, beating them in Charlotte, N.C., on Octo. 30, 28-10.
Carolina has lost six straight games heading into this week and is winless in its last seven overall.
