The Carolina Panthers have ambushed the New Orleans Saints in the early going Sunday and the Saints are getting a little frustrated. Cam Newton is having none of it.
The Carolina Panthers are out to an early 17-0 lead in the first quarter over the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Saints are giving in to some chippiness.
After Cam Newton scored a 2-yard touchdown run, Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton gave him a shove in the back.
Newton didn’t turn away. Instead, he turned around and began to jaw at Lofton, which led to a full-fledged fracas.
New Orleans (5-7) is tied with the Atlanta Falcons for the lead in the NFC South, while the Panthers (3-8-1) can’t have a winning season, but are still very much in the division race with four weeks to go.
