The San Diego Chargers are hosting the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football in a compelling match up. The Patriots are looking for a win as they pursue the top seed in the AFC Conference playoffs.
The Chargers are caught in an even more intense wild card battle, coming into the game with an 8-4 record and ahead of the 8-5 Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.
The Chargers are rolling early on though and having their way with the Patriots. The Chargers got an offensive score and then a defensive score to take a commanding 14-3 lead.
The defensive touchdown was particularly impressive. Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell coughed up the ball and Chargers defensive back Darrell Stuckey picked it up, returning it 53 yards for the touchdown.
