After months of another exciting college football season, we now know the four teams that will be a part of the first ever College Football Playoff.
It was a wild college football season in 2014, but now that it’s all said and done, it’s time to find out who will play for the national championship. However, as opposed to other years, this year the top four teams in the country will vie for the title in the first ever College Football Playoff.
All season long 12 members of the College Football Committee have evaluated and ranked the best teams in the country, and the craziness that has ensued throughout the weeks has made their job that much harder.
But now, with the conference title games out of the way, we are ready to find out which four teams will be battling for a shot at the college football national championship.
Now as a refresher, the No. 4 team will take on the No. 1 team in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, while the No. 2 and 3 teams will face off out in Pasadena in the Rose Bowl; both games on Jan. 1. From there, the winners of these semifinal games will face one another inside AT&T Stadium in Dallas for the right to be called national champions.
So without any further ado, here is how the first ever College Football Playoff shaped out:
Rose Bowl (No. 1 vs No. 4)
(1) Alabama vs (4) Ohio State
Sugar Bowl (No. 2 vs No. 3)
(2) Oregon vs (3) Florida State
