With the first ever College Football Playoff almost set to take place, when does the event actually begin and how will it play out?
We have reached the end of the college football season which means that it’s now time to make some history. It’s time for something that people have been clamoring for for quite some time, a College Football Playoff.
Yes, beginning this season, the top four teams in the country will meet for the right to win the coveted national championship. On Sunday we will find out who the top four teams are that were selected by the College Football Playoff committee.
But, how will this work? When does this all begin.
Well, all four teams will start the Playoff on New Year’s Day, beginning with the No. 2 and No. 3 teams facing off against one another in the Rose Bowl at 5:30 p.m. ET, and that will be followed by the No. 1 and No. 4 teams squaring off in the Sugar Bowl at 8:30 p.m. ET.
From there, the winners of each game will then play for the national championship on Jan. 12 in Arlington, TX inside AT&T Stadium.
All games will be exclusively broadcast by ESPN.
While there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the new format, the fact of the matter is that this is what people have been wanting for quite some time, and now we have it.
Jan. 1, the fun will begin.
