The Seminoles were ranked fourth in Tuesday night’s rankings released by the committee and none of the top six teams lost this week, leaving the committee with the thankless task of figuring out how to get out of the corner it painted itself into.
Northrup led Florida State with 12 tackles, one for loss.
On the season, Northrup—Florida State’s “other” No. 5—had 113 tackles to lead the team, along with four tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble.
Northrup was named to the All-ACC first team for his efforts.
