Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher doesn’t really care where his team is ranked, as long as they’re in the hunt.

With the final College Football Playoff rankings set to be released soon, even though they’ve won 29 games in a row, there is a chance that the Florida State Seminoles could be left out of the top four. It likely won’t happen, but they definitely won’t be No. 1, which really doesn’t bother head coach Jimbo Fisher.

After the Seminoles and Fisher won the ACC on Saturday night over Georgia Tech, Fisher noted that he isn’t the least bit concerned that his team isn’t No. 1, they’ll do their talking on the field as they’ve done the last 29 games.

Florida State and the way they’ve won games has been one of the biggest points of contention all season, and it still is leading into the final rankings being released on Sunday. They’ve continually been dropped, and as of last week, the defending champs are sitting in the final No. 4 slot.

But Fisher gets that, in the grand scheme of things, as long as they’re one of the final four teams, they’ll get a chance to prove their point.
