The Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets are playing one of the most boring matchups of Sunday afternoon, but leave it Geno Smith to make things exciting in all the wrong ways.
Geno Smith may or may no the the quarterback of the future for the New York Jets, that is all going to be determined by the next coaching regime. But Smith isn’t doing himself many favors with his play so far this season if he wants to prove himself as a franchise guy.

Right off the bat against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon, Smith threw a touchdown pass he wishes he could get back. It was indeed a confirmed touchdown pass, as they reviewed it and everything — it was just the wrong team who caught the ball.
Linebacker Gerald Hodges picked the ball right out of the air just like those frustrating Madden glitches we’ve seen so many times. Turns out the reality of those glitches is truer than we thought, as Hodges interception was pretty impressive.
The Vikings and Jets will not be going to the postseason this year and this isn’t a Super Bowl preview by any means. But the mistakes for Geno Smith is indicative of the struggles the Jets have had this season and seeing it right out of the gate is utterly depressing to Jets fans.
