Greg Olsen has come through with a big season for the Carolina Panthers this year after a lot of offensive weapons left in free agency this past offseason. He has always had the talent to be one of the top options for an offense, and Cam Newton has obviously made him one of his favorite targets.
At this point in the season the Panthers are not contenders in the NFC playoff race, but they aren’t too terribly far behind the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South. Today they have a chance to knock off the Saints head-to-head, and Olsen came through with an amazing one-handed catch on the sideline. He has made a few amazing plays throughout the season, but this one is one of the best that he has made in his career.
Take a look at the reception for yourself and decide what you think:
Needless to say, those types of plays provide momentum for the Panthers moving forward as they look to hand their rivals a huge loss. Olsen has to make catches like that in order to keep increasing Newton’s confidence. That being said, making that catch is so much easier said than done and he made it look extremely easy.
