Jon Gruden is once again the target of a number of college and NFL coaching searches, but he will reportedly stick to broadcasting for at least one more season.
Don’t look now, but Jon Gruden looks to be getting more and more comfortable in the nice gig he has carved out for himself at ESPN.

Not only does Gruden serve as the color commentator on Monday Night Football, but he also films his ‘Gruden QB Camp’ series with draft prospects that always promises to be entertaining and informative.
There have been plenty of jokes about Gruden and his inclination to praise everybody while calling games, but give the guy credit: he has worked to improve at the job and has gotten better at providing insight that is not always accompanied by glowing praise. Whether you like him or not, he has gotten a lot better in the booth.
Jason La Canfora reports that many teams want Gruden as their next coach but the former headman for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders plans to stay with ESPN for at least another year:
"Former Super Bowl-winning coach Jon Gruden, who remains coveted by professional and college teams alike, is likely to remain in the broadcast booth, according to several sources close to him. Gruden’s lifestyle, his enhanced family time and his considerable earning potential already are all strong factors that have made it very likely he puts off a return to coaching for at least another year, they said."
Who knows? Maybe we are going to have a generation of football fans who grow up with Gruden as the voice of Monday Night Football.
