The Miami Dolphins lost on Sunday afternoon to the Ravens, but the loss may be more costly than initially thought after Louis Delmas left with a possible ACL injury.
It was a tough loss for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, but the loss may have a deeper impact than just an immediate one in the playoff picture. While the Dolphins and Ravens are gunning for the same playoff spot, Miami suffered a loss in the form of Louis Delmas on a scary non-contact play.

It’s the non-contact injuries you almost always have to worry about as they’re usually a sign of an ACL or ligament tear of some kind.
Nothing has been confirmed with Delmas, but the nature of his injury is not pretty and Dolphins fans are fearing the worst.
Delmas had injury problems while with the Detroit Lions, but this is something that is going to effect the Dolphins in a big way. He’s been a cog in their surprisingly solid defense this year but things will change if he is lost for the season.
Miami is still in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt, but sans Delmas on defense the Dolphins instantly become a weaker team that can’t afford to slip up this late in the season.
