The New York Jets don’t score often, but when they do they make sure it’s always interesting.

Teddy Bridgewater has impressed many and quieted some critics through the past few weeks of play for the Vikings but he can’t do it all. He’s still not that impressive of an option for the Jets but he’s not doing all that bad against the Vikings on Sunday afternoon.
The first positive highlight of the game for the New York Jets though came at the expense of Teddy Bridgewater and came courtesy of the New York Jets defense. The left side of the Minnesota offensive line, particularly Matt Kalil, has been the subject of scrutiny all year. After this sack for a safety from the Jets, it’s easy to see why.
The Jets defense had a simple four man rush but five guys were unable to stop them, and let one of them get straight to the rookie quarterback in what might as well be record time for a guy his size.
New York is going to need more than just a safety to get a win under their belt but it helps. Geno Smith has demonstrated he can’t do everything on his own and his defense stepping up is something Jets fans have been expecting to happen all season long.
