The college football regular season is over and it’s time for award season before eligible teams begin gearing up for their respective bowl games and the SEC got the award season underway by naming their all-conference teams and players and coach of the year.

The Alabama Crimson Tide won the SEC Championship Game with a dominating performance against the Missouri Tigers and had the most players named to the first team offense and defense with six players named to the All-SEC team that was released on Monday, including Amari Cooper who was named the offensive player of the year.
Missouri had three named to the All-SEC first teams, including Shane Ray who was named the defensive player of the year after leading the conference in sacks and tackles for loss.
Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen was named the coach of the year after leading the Bulldogs to their first No. 1 ranking, third 10-win season in program history with a chance for their first 11-win season with a win in the Orange Bowl.
