The St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins squared off on Sunday, and the two franchises will be forever linked for the trade that brought quarterback Robert Griffin III to the nation’s capital. The Rams got a bevy of draft picks which resulted in them taking players like cornerback Janoris Jenkins, defensive tackle Michael Brockers, running back Zac Stacy, wide receiver Stedman Bailey, tackle Greg Robinson and linebacker Alec Ogletree.
When they squared off on Sunday, Fisher sent out those players as captains, a nice little troll of the Redskins. Fisher didn’t share his plan with any of the other players though.
“I didn’t know that was the statement that was made. Now that you’re telling me, that makes a lot of sense. I’m glad Coach Fisher did that,” wide receiver Stedman Bailey, the 92nd pick in the 2013 draft, told Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
“We just kinda looked at each other like, ‘OK, maybe these are the guys that have been playing good lately.’ We weren’t really sure.'”
What makes it all even better is that the Redskins were clueless and even posted a Vine of it to their own account.
