Adam Wainwright Forgives Julius Thomas For Not Playing (Video)
By Hayden Kane
Adam Wainwright was among the many fantasy football owners to lose this past weekend because Denver Broncos‘ tight end Julius Thomas did not play. For his part, Wainwright wants Thomas to know that he forgives him.
St. Louis Cardinals’ starting pitcher Adam Wainwright knows what it’s like. He is truly a man who understands both sides of the story.

On the one hand, he is able to relate to the heartbreak that comes with the fantasy football playoffs. Adam Wainwright knows what it’s like to have a star tight end like Julius Thomas, to monitor his injury status all week, to put Thomas in the lineup because he’s active, and to experience despair and frustration simultaneously when Thomas does nothing.
On the other hand, Adam Wainwright knows the player’s side of this exchange. He knows what it’s like to make a professional decision with his team in his best interests, only to have irrational fans everywhere berate him and the real team because they think their pretend team actually matters.
Because Wainwright understands, he created a small video to let Julius Thomas know that he forgives him.
It probably shouldn’t take a professional athlete telling us to cool it and not get mad at guys for being hurt, but hey, whatever it takes.
