Aaron Donald takes the lead in the race for Defensive RookieĀ of the Year, and other Week 14 updates for the NFL Awards races.Ā

There are just three weeks left in the NFL season, and the races for the NFL awards are coming down to the wire. Aaron Rodgers may have all-but wrapped up anotherĀ MVP, but the rest of the awards are still too close to call.

For example,Ā St. Louis defensive tackle Aaron Donald continues to dominate each and every week, and thus has taken a slight lead for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. San Francisco’s Chris Borland isn’t going away though, and continues to put up an impressive number of tackles every week.

The race is so close, the two players have swapped places as the leader each week for a while now. Of course, Donald’s cause is helped by the fact that the Rams are surging, while the 49ers appear to be falling apart. How much that will matter to the voters is up for debate, and it only makes this race that much more entertaining.

It is time to go through each award and see how the NFL awards races look as we head into Week 14.
