12. Tony Dorsett
Tony Dorsett was the dual-threat running back before dual-threat running backs were a thing. He basically paved the way for the hybrid, pass-catching back that could also run between the tackles, although he never had more than 459 receiving yards in one season.
Dorsett ranks eighth all-time with 12,739 total rushing yards. Even with such prolific numbers, Dorsett often gets overlooked because of Cowboys’ great Emmitt Smith.
Dorsett went to four Pro Bowls in his career and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1994.
