San Francisco 49ers

The second team that lost to the Raiders were the 49ers. For the past years, the 49ers have always been thought of as a member of the NFL’s echelon, but in 2014, this team has looked quite different. Colin Kaepernick has been exposed and the injuries are starting to catch up to them on the defensive side of the ball. The NFC is wide open because of all the tiebreakers and conference head-to-heads. Knowing that, considering the 49ers have wins over the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, a win in Week 14 would’ve been huge for the 49ers. That loss will most certainly come back to hurt San Francisco.

For their next three games, the 49ers will play three quality teams. The 49ers will go on the road to play the Seattle Seahawks, then return to host the Chargers and the Arizona Cardinals. It seems like its been forever since the 49ers have beat the Seahawks. Going on the road, with how well Seattle is playing, it’s hard to see the 49ers beat the Seahawks. The 49ers should win their matchups in Weeks 16 and 17 considering they will be home. However, the 49ers are currently 7-6 and behind a few NFC teams in the playoff race. The 49ers have no room for mistakes and that means losing a football game. But because of their game in Seattle in Week 15, it’s safe to count out the 49ers for this year’s playoffs.
