It isn’t everyday that a professional athlete goes through a situation like Newton did, and it can really shake a person up. Newton seems to have learned a valuable lesson from the entire situation, however, which is very good and a mature way to look at it.

Needless to say, this was a very sobering message and it is something that everyone needs to pay attention to and follow the advice that he gave. Life is not guaranteed in any way, shape, or form, and it can be taken away in a moment. Newton is just fine following the accident outside of a couple small fractures in his back, and that is a piece of great news. Hopefully this message will help people realize that Newton’s experience could happen to anyone, and that nothing can ever be taken for granted.
