Cam Newton Will Not Start Week 15 After Car Accident
By Josh Hill
Cam Newton walked away from a serious car accident on Tuesday that could have been a lot worse than it was, but he’s still not going to be starting in Week 15.
When Cam Newton was in a two-car accident on Tuesday afternoon, the last thing anyone was thinking of was his playing status on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Thankfully, that quickly became the discussion after it was clear Newton was going to walk away from his car accident with just a back fracture.

That still seems incredibly outlandish to say, as a back fracture is a freaking back fracture. But given how crazy the crash scene was, Newton is no doubt a lucky man.
According to Greg Auman from the Tampa Bay Times, the Panthers will be starting Derek Carr over Cam Newton following the latter being in a car accident earlier this week.
It was a terrifying crash that Newton some how walked away from. Had he not been wearing his seat belt, it’s very possible that Newton could have been killed and this week would be one spent in shock of the sudden death of Cam Newton.
That’s not the case though, as the biggest fallout from his car crash is that he’s not starting on Sunday against the Buccaneers. That’s absolutely incredible given how severe the accident looked, as Newton wearing a seatbelt saved his life and is something everyone needs to take note of the next time they get into a car.
