Dodgers Rumors: Jake Peavy Drawing Interest From Dodgers
By Hayden Kane
The moves are starting to heat up this off-season, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly interested in starting pitcher Jake Peavy as they explore MLB free agency.
Jake Peavy showed some life while pitching in the National League West for the San Francisco Giants last season. It might be, then, that the Dodgers are showing some interest based on the good impression Peavy made in the division.

Entering his age 33 season, Peavy has been up and down the last few seasons. Even this past season, he arrived in San Francisco via trade from the Boston Red Sox in a buy-low situation. The interest Peavy will draw in free agency will come in part because of his stuff as a back-end guy and in part because of his veteran grit and know-how.
Having made a trade involving Dan Haren earlier in the night, the Dodgers are looking for a starting pitcher. Ken Rosenthal reports that they are interested in Peavy:
Peavy went 7-13 last season with a 3.73 ERA in 2014. That happened thanks in large part to his success while pitching for the Giants. In 12 starts from the Giants, Peavy went 6-4 with a 2.17 ERA. He certainly belongs in the National League, and given the talent on the rest of the roster, the Dodgers could be a fine fit.
Jake Peavy looked like one happy dude en route to a World Series ring with the Giants. He might find himself just as happy next fall if he joins the Dodgers.
