As the story goes, Mayweather was on FaceTime with rapper Early Hayes when he decided to take a gun and shoot his model wife while she was in the bath tub. Hayes then turned the gun on himself while Mayweather pleaded with him to not go through his with murder-suicide plot.

According to TMZ though, Mayweather may have instigated his friend into murdering his wife. While he didn’t tell him to do it Mayweather nonetheless ‘riled up’ Hayes before he killed his wife.

"Now we’re told, Floyd was telling Hayes he should leave his wife, Stephanie Moseley — a well-known backup dancer and star of VH1’s “Hit the Floor” — because she was bad for his career. One Mayweather source says Floyd challenged Hayes, saying he was weak for not leaving her."

It’s a tragic incident that is going to be added to the long list of tragedies Mayweather has faced in his life. No one is saying that Mayweather told Hayes to kill his wife as that’s slander at best. But if he indeed riled up his friend before murdering his wife, then that’s a form of regret that Mayweather is going to have to live with for the rest of his life.
